I Can Make A Word Out Of That: Uexi

So now I am in Government with half the class left to me. Therefore, I have decided to write all about my weekend! Enjoy!

I'm beginning with Thursday because I went to the volleyball game. Before it I worked out and went to Maretti's for a veggie deli sandwich, which was so good! Like the mayo didn't even bother me! Then I realized this was the first sports game I went to this year. Which was a bit odd. Volleyball. But I went to see Emmy! It turns out it was toga night...Martin came up with that one. He and his buds showed up very nicely covered in various colors of togas, but other took it to the extreme. Lots of bare chests I rather not have seen. One of the guys who chose that route shouted intelligently "I feel NAKED!" Yes, thank you for sharing. I sat in the front row for the first time. I felt like older or that I should be more excited and into it. But I wasn't that much. I wished Emmy would have played. But it was a really hard game. So it's understandable. I paid a bit more attention to the guys strange conversations around me than the game. One guy had a very witty comment, "If I wanted a kiss, I would have asked your mom!". How intimidating. But Maria did the splits twice when she tried to get the ball. So that was interesting. It reminded me of "A League of Their Own" where Dottie does the splits. But this wasn't a movie. Obviously.

I can't really remember Friday at school. But I wore a really cute tang top under a shrug. I liked that. I got a compliment. Yay! All I can remember is that Choir sucked. And I am in the highest level. And we suck. No one sings. And Meghan does not sit by me anymore! Very sad. But after school I went to Sheboygan for a bit because Carl forgot he needs his car to get home and money and yeah. He and I ate down there. Then we came back to Manitowoc and went with Andrew to George's football game in Mishicot. With an odd group of people. But it was interesting. And George won by like 38 to 8. It was cool. Then we went to Jenn's for a late night coffee run.

Saturday I had planned to go to Drew's game, but then Carl called and invited me to a wedding! And weddings are much cooler than football games, plus I got to wear a pretty dress! I love wearing dresses. I decided on the pink floral one I bought at St. Vinnie's for $3 because Carl said it was a smaller wedding. I also ran to Markham to steal a clutch from the rummage sale to go with the dress.Carl's mom really liked it. So I guess it was a good choice. The wedding was nice, it was my first church wedding. They had a lot of incense. And I actually sort of new the family. It was Carl's friend's dad's. And I had met the friend once. So that was cool. After the wedding was like a little reception thing because it was in the middle of the afternoon. But I could not have any of the main food because everything had meat! Then I could only have some desserts because Carl is allergic to nuts. But the punch was really good Reed and I agreed. Until we found out it had champagne in it. But we only had like three cups. And really, it probably was really light. Like -1%. After that Carl and I decided to head home early since the follow up reception was at the house and there would probably be no dancing and same restrictions of food. So yep.

Then we went to Manitowoc and met up with Michelle, Carly, Sarah, and Jared. We were at Shuttee Park for a bit, but it was too buggy so we went to Carly's. We ate cream cheese won tons and then played scrabble. I did not play because I can't spell. But soon it evolved into dirty scrabble when we tired of regular. And that was quite interesting. Carl was complaining that the had no good letters and then Sarah asked if she could see them and then said "I can make a word out of that, 'uexi'." It was very funny. Then Neal and Schiesl appeared at the window and we all screamed! But it was really funny. We just hung out after that.

Sunday I spent doing a Government project with Joleen. I had never been to her house before and it was very nice. We did a PowerPoint on the Fifth French Republic, which is France's current government. It was pretty easy. Then we rewarded ourselves with chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and took a short swim in her pool. We talked about school and life and yeah. Twas nice.

Which bring us to today. I am now at home, not in Government. Just couldn't get this all down in time. Today was a rather boring day. I woke up late, as in a half hour late, which is pretty uncharacteristic of me, but it was no problem. I got suck behind a cop car going to school and I was afraid to pass it. So I just went the speed limit till he turned. I went to school and woke up with Brother Gery and made boxes about what we believe. Then I went to English, where we argued if Jake lived in Shoto or TR and had a fire drill. Next was Spanish, which has gotten horribly boring for some reason. And she yells at us if we don't speak Spanish even if it's to ask what something means. And she picked on me because I did not turn my desk around. I can just write on my notebook without my desk beneath it. Silly Senora. Lunch was spent arguing if we should go to Olive Garden for Homecoming or not. Don't get me wrong, I love Olive Garden with my whole heart and soul. But I think it's stupid because it takes too much time. And with the football game the same day as the dance, we just can't pull it off. Not that I really care about the dance. I just go for the dress and the pictures. Whatever, I'll just do what majority wants. I don't like conflict. And that was a bit awkward, but then Sarah pointed out everything could work out if only we could apparate! But then we realized Sarah was the only one old enough to take the apparation test, so we would have to do a number of carry along apperations. Then Tom brought up we could use a portkey! And we were like yeah that would make it so much easier. But then we would have to have another one at Olive Garden. Michelle then suggested the flu powder and we all agree that was the best plan. Oh how easy our lives would be if we lived in a Harry Potter world.

And that plus Government was my school day. Then I went to my voice lesson, where Mrs. Miller compliment my hair and shirt. Yay! I just threw my hair up in a clip because it had no time to dry today. So I am glad it looks nice. Now I am home, waiting for Carl to call so we can hang out after his play practice and before my dance classes. I think we will go out to dinner or coffee. It will be fun. I hope his play practice ends soon.

Revelation of the entry: Writing down my day really makes me feel accomplished, though I hardy did anything.

Have a good one

Little Bit of School Action

So I'm coming to you from a bit of extra time in Sociology which I suspect will happen often. So we are looking up "social issues". Ive decided on the Education speech which Obama presented yesterday. Which our school, being as conservative as it is, chose not to watch it. Because it was going to political and controversial and socialist! Ooooh scary. It's not like the Catholic Church is one of the largest socialist groups leading the world today. And our excuse was that it "offended some people".
Everything. Offends. Some. People.
And Obama did not even write the speech! It was Teachers for Teachers. Obama is just the messenger. Why must we always oppose the messenger? This is silly. He is the president of the United States. Let's get over ourselves please.
Some schools who watched it also watched the Bush Education speech from 1991 and more recent ones. They said they were similar and sending the same message. Get educated, work towards a goal, apply yourself, learn all you can. Wow. Scary stuff. Clap your hands over the children's ears and call in to complain!

Eons Passed

So as those listening may have known, I have not blogged in "eons". And I have also changed the name and email address. So I'm not sure if anyone knows my blog anymore. But oh well, not to many did in the first place.

So much has transpired. Summer brought many new things. I got a car! R2PO after R2D2 and C3PO. Oooh, numbers look cool on here. Anyway he finally got his license plates. And I was in the summer show, sang Aquarius and Windy as solos. That was fun. You know, actually singing once in a while. And I started tap and jazz! Which was a really good warm up to the fall dance classes. And I did a bit of theater camp at the CCC. That was tons of fun, met new people, played improb games, sung, and danced. All good fun. Oh! And I started working at Maretti's Deli! I have to say that it's a great place to work. Lee's an awesome boss and always gives me off on days I need. Plus a lot of people from my school go to Maretti's and we have the best subs in town. I get pretty good tips in waitressing! And I'm learning about wine and pasta. Very Italian, yes? Also I became a vegetarian. Basically randomly, I just felt like it. And it's very healthy and I didn't eat meat that much. I only miss bacon...

Yeah, that was summer. Unfortunately it has gone and went too soon! I'm back in school. It's the usually so far. My favorite classes are surprisingly Justice, because Brother Gary just talks the whole time, and Intro to Sociology, just the subject, hate the actual teacher and class. I mean Mr. Berkhout is...well just not assertive. And the class is not the more involved bunch. But Sociology is a really cool subject. The text book is written with an actual human voice and is pretty interesting to read.

So let's seen, what's on my mind? Oh hey, the Lady One explanation. Well you see, I'm accepting the philosophy that one must understand the world, their society, and most of all one's self to actually understand a bit of what actually goes on in life. All it takes in one person with one thought and one single goal - to understand. So...I'm not saying this well at all right now. It all plays into thoughts. One must have thoughts to live, they are what make up everything that exists. Without your thoughts, you would not see or hear or intake anything. It just takes one thought to change perspective. Apply that to one person and you have trillions of thoughts passing each day. One never grasp the capability one can posses. It just takes one. And here I am, one. I adopted the title Lady simply because it is a forgotten title. It seems elegant in history, but has now been used in the most informal situations to any woman on the street. Anyway, I like it. You don't have to, one can have one's opinion. It will most likely change over time, as all things do.

So back to reality - I started tap, jazz, and hip hop on Monday! It was so much fun! The girls there are so funny and outgoing, I'm a bit timid to start with. But I will start talking more later on. I even remember the dances! And I can tap now! It's a miracle! Manty Dance is very...open and relaxed. I like it, I think it's fun. We do music from "now", which is my only problem. Some of the "now" music is not represented. Like what I listen to. We just dance to mainstream pop and hip hop. But what you going to do? But the best thing is - we are doing Pretty Fly For a White Guy for tap! We have one guy in it and he is pretty nerdy and awkward and he is playing the while guy! It's hilarious! I love it! Jazz and hip hop are cool too, I'm learning a lot of new moves that should help me later. I also started waitressing alone at Maretti's! I made $22 in tips on a slow night! That's what I like to see! And I didn't mess up at all in the dinning room! I'm so excited! Oh, I am also trying out for the fall play Our Town. It looks like and interesting play. Set in the 1900's in a small town and people get married and in the third act are dead and in a cemetery just hanging out. I want to be the little sister, Rebbecca. She seems like the normal young Innocent girl, but then gets a bit of stage time to talk about the bigger picture of life and how it exceeds us all...and I'm little! I totally fit the part!

Yes, that's life. Hope it all goes well.

Burnt Out Spotlight

I am not sure when my interest in theatre began. Maybe it sparked off of annually going to the Nutcracker Ballet. Perhaps it came from my vivid imagination. Or perhaps because long ago my favorite movie was the stage taping of Peter Pan. Anyway that it happened, I love the theatre. I love watching plays, whether they are professional or high school productions. I feel in love with Wicked and still know many of the songs from Les Miserables, that my high school put on two years before I entered it. Each of the plays strikes something within me. They all have such a soul and feeling behind them. They are basically life size books. I love books and I love plays because they take the work out of picturing a story and bring it before you eyes.

Ever since eight grade I have been dying to be in a semi lead role. Or lead. When I reached high school that only escalated. But I have remained in the back round. Freshman year I was a simple extra, this year I managed a dancing part. I always wanted to be a dancer, but my mom wouldn't go for it. But I love dancing, it is so cool. But I digress....These past play try outs I was cut form a very small casting pool. Not a big deal, so many were in the same boat as I. And those plays turned out wonderfully, so no harm done.

And yet, I feel almost as though I am standing center stage and holding a pose, waiting for a spotlight. But alas, it is burnt out and the curtain is stuck. My show will not go one. I do not want to complain, I am not a undiscovered star. I have just fallen into the sin of want. I want the limelight but it is turned on another. I have accepted now that I am going to humbly step back and clap during their bows.

I still have time to grow into a better actress, who knows, maybe one day I will have a little spotlight. But I am pledging now to stop complain for feeling sorrow about my broken spotlight. I will just preform in the dark and maybe someone with good eyes will see me. The theatre is still a magical place and I will never stop singing songs from musicals. I just shall be a bit more graceful now.

It is like a famous line from The Fantasticks,
"There are no small actors, only small parts" - Henry
I am not a small actor, I just receive small parts. That is all there is too it.

Much needed update

My goodness, I have not written in so long!
But I have not had much too much that has happened. I guess we will go with the major and move on from there.
My Birthday! Just awhile ago I turned sweet sixteen. My actual birthday, I spent the first have with my good friend Emmy. We went to go get ice cream and played some super Nintendo. It was a fun and interesting half a day. The second half was spent at the boys basketball sectional finals. I sat with my friends and watched and screamed our guys on to victory! It was so great, they fought very hard this year. And I loved that they won on my birthday! It was like a present, but cooler. After the game a bunch of my friends went out to McDonald's to celebrate a game well won. We would have gone somewhere else, but it was very late. One of my guy friends bought me a pie, because I was born on pi day (3.14). Another of my friends gave me the toy from her happy meal, I will treasure it always. I also got a "CAUTION handle with care I'M HOT OPEN HERE" piece form a pie box from a friend, which another guy friend of mine turned into a button! It is brilliant! It was a very fun, if not random day. I enjoyed it.

The next week two very important things happened.
First I got my driver's license! On my first try! It was fabulous! The whole day I had been so nervous and during the test I was sure I had failed. Stupid snow hills and them making parallel parking impossible. But it was all okay and I passed! I even look alright in my photo.
Second, the boys basketball team went on to State in Madison! I went up a night before the game with my sister and friends. We went swimming and stayed up half the night. When i got to the game I spilt up with the seniors and hung out with my friends of my year. It was quite fun, but the whole game was a bit off for me. I could not see much, as one would imagine for my size. The final score was 41 - 56. We lost, but they did well. They came so much farther than most thought they could. Good for them! After the game I went shopping on State Street with friends. I found a cheep floral tank, beautiful earrings, and an amazing jacket! I do love it!

This weekend pasted, my boyfriend and I celebrated our six months together. The really day of six month is tomorrow the 25th, but we celebrated to avoid the play next weekend. We spent half the day together. We exchanged wonderful gifts and had a great dinner together. Six months is huge, half a year. It seems too long and too short all at the same time. Maybe it is just right then.

Coming soon! The plays Do Patine Leather Shoes Really Reflect up and The Fantasticks are coming up in just two days! I am excited to watch both and bought tickets today. I wish both cast luck, especially Carl in Fantasticks. This weekend I am also heading out to Chicago to find my sister a prom dress and go to my favorite store, Forever21. I am also hoping to blog more so I actually write about something here rather than just my ramblings.

Valentine's Day

Warning - yes, this is a blog about how I spent my Valentine's day with my boyfriend, Carl. It is my first Valentine's day with a guy! I deserve to be happy about it. So please don't be mad!

I began preparing for the actually day just a day before when I made cookie dough! I revised the recipe - switched nutmeg to cinnamon so it would not kill Carl. Saved his life again! And then I cleaned the house a bit. Now, jumping to the morning of Valentine's day, I rolled the dough, baked, and decorated the cookies. Red, pink, and white frosting all hand decorated so they were like snowflakes - all individual. Then I cleaned some more and got myself ready. Then I did the last stage of making spaghetti! I had also planned the dessert weeks before - sundaes, because Carl had his first one with me. Isn't that ridiculous? He is like 16 and never had a proper sundae before! Que terrible!
When he finally got here, he was so surprised! And quite happy! He ate it all, I was impressed. I had made a lot...bad measuring skills. But it worked so yay! And I set the cookies up all cute - most in a mug I bought him and the others around it. It was a work of art! I hope he enjoyed it, he seemed to. (He has actually consumed them all now! Yay!)
After lunch we exchanged gifts. I had bought him an aeropastle sweater! Navy blue and green stripes, I liked it a lot. I even tried it on in the store...not sure why. I should have taken a picture! It looked good on me, right Catey? Anyway, Carl liked it. I am enhancing his fashion! He got me a really cool, pink, swirly scarf! My new favorite scarf. Very cool and warm. Doesn't make my hair too frizzy. And a set of pearls - necklace, bracelet (which actually fits my wrist!!!), and earrings. Love them, I never had a real set of pearls!
Next we hung out with/ chased around our friends. Silly couples. They played a bit of a trick on us and made up a riddle. We had to go on a hunt to find them. We would call them and they would just repeat "We were eating...and now we are reading." They turned out to be at the library...how weird are they?!
Soon after we left our silly couple friends and went to Shaboygan. We drove around and Carl showed me all these places in Shaboygan. It is actually a pretty cool town. Then we went to this coffee place, the Weather Center, down by the lake. It is such a cool, artsy, cultural, fisherman-esk place. Plus it had coffee! And the waiters were all cool, artsy, rebel people with cool clothes. Very indie. Then we went out to dinner and talked a lot. Finally he drove me home. Happy Valentine's Day!

I know Valentine's Day over all has been completely commercial, but I really liked it. It was a good day! Apart form me making a meal and cookies, it was just like any other date. Though maybe there was more driving around involved. But all the same, it was awesome! So yes. Fin

Catching Up

So, it has been over a month since I have blogged. I am truly sorry for this- it makes me extremely sad. The same goes for my novel...wow I must get my priorities in order! This is madness! More writing, writing, writing.
So since we last spoke...what all has happened?
Second Semester
Wow this was forever ago! I have adjusted well...though my old schedule fit me better. But my easy classes in the morning are going well. Gives me time to wake up. I start of my day with good old Commercial Art (graphic design) with Dani! Tis good fun, if not time wasting. Then choir before lunch, gives me time to work. Oh that class makes me sad...we should be better. But we are not..sad. Oh but I made Oratorio choir for next year! YES! Moving on up! It at least should be a bit better...you would think. Then Biology, which is much more fun this semester! Cotter has lighten our load and I am doing very well. I actually understand things and I help other people understand, a real confidence boaster. I feel so smart! And the people are more fun too! Finally I end with English, which is going okay...I am doing well of course. Wish there was more writing though. And I got Carl in that class, so all good fun. Then B day I start off with Worship -which is better then I thought it would be. I have it with Carly and Kari, they distract me. We joke around so much! We are the trouble makers...fun fun! Spanish es muy divirtido! Yoli, Bea, y Juan Pablo ole! Y Brennan and Seraki...I am more buddy with the jock guys lately...weird. More and more I am hearing "Brucey!". Honors Geo...eh meep. At least I have my friends - Tiff, Em, Jo and Bri! Then American History...ick. That has fallen to worst class I think.
Mock Trial
We went to regional, we sucked. Well we actually did much better then I expected with so many people dropping out! And I didn't mess up on any of my reading. But when it came to cross...well I could have done better. But it wasn't as bad as I thought. But our team came in last...sad. But at least we did not have to go to State..that would have been bad. So...yeah not doing that again.
Snowball
The winter dance. Much fun! My friends all hung out before - played some games, watched some dance crews, bumper couples, all that jazz. Then we went to Applebee's and pretended it was someone's birthday without them knowing. The waiters all came out and sung to him, he was so embarrassed! I also messed with the waiter, Scott. Good fun. Then the dance was coolie. Because of my friends and Carl. Not the songs, we need better songs. Oh, thanks Cat for letting me wear your clothes! Skinny jeans rock, must buy some!
Do Patin Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?
No. They don't. I tired out for play a while ago. I sang Popular from Wicked, was a bit shaky there. But I did okay, Jake said I aced it! And I thought my acting was really good....but I did not make the cut. But that is okay, I mean there were only 12 parts. And then there is another show being put on with another small cast. The Fantastics, which Carl made. He is the part Henry, which is just speaking, no singing. But he tells me it is quite enjoyable and I look forward to seeing him in it. There are a bit too many freshmen in it if you ask me...but whatever. They are good actors...I guess...maybe. Anyway, I'm a bit sad I did not make it. But as my senior friends tell me, I should shut up and get over it. Good advice you guys!
V-day
Oh this deserves it's own blog! I will write that soon. Probably later today!
Kitty kitty!
We got a new cat, as my sister has posted. Aries - god of war...not that violent. But silly and cewt! (cute)! He is a great addition to the family. Birthday is April 1st in honor of Fred Weasley, whom I will always love (sorry Carl) haha.
Seems to be it. See you in the next blog!
